International Left Handers Awareness Day
On August 13th 2026 Left Handers Awareness Day is a global celebration dedicated to raising awareness about the unique challenges and experiences of left-handed people.
This annual event is to celebrate our left-handed friends, family and colleagues. The day looks at the difficulty using tools, devices and products that are designed for right-handed users. By talking about these issues the hope is to encourage designers and developers to include our left-handed community.
This day was established in 1976 by the Left-Handers club based in the UK. This organisation aims to promote the interests of left-handed individuals and raise awareness of the challenges they face.
If you are left-handed you are encouraged to share your uniqueness and experience. Why not try activities with your left hand to gain an insight of what left-handed people face. Support products that are made for left-handed people.
