National Family Care Givers Month

National Family Care Givers Month

National Family caregivers month is observed every year from the 1st November to the 31st November

The aim of this event is to recognise and support the important work that family caregivers do for their loved ones. It is also a time to reflect on their dedication and compassion that they show every day.

Family caregiving is the act of providing care for a loved one at home who has a physical or mental health condition.

As medical treatments advance, and people live longer there are more and more people living with a chronic illness or a disability which in turn means there are even more family members looking after a loved one at home. These caregivers need help and support.
