Back Care Awareness Week
14th - 20th October
This event is to raise awareness of back pain, how to prevent it and how to manage it should it occur.
Back Care Awareness week is to educate the public about back pain and to encourage people to care for their back by promoting proper posture and a healthy lifestyle.
To promote a healthy back here are a few tips,
-Eating protein rich foods
-Regular exercise
-Avoid sitting for longer than 20 minutes without getting up and walking around.
-Avoid sleeping in the chair in the afternoon.
-Always lift and carry objects close to your body bend your knees and hips not your back. Never twist and bend at the same time.
