National Doodle Day 25th Sept
National Doodle Day celebrates the fun art of doodling while raising funds for charity. Many doodles created by celebrities and artists are auctioned to raise money for epilepsy charities.
National Doodle Day was started in 2004 by Epilepsy Action a UK based charity that supports people affected by epilepsy. It was created as a light hearted way to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy research and support services.
Last years campaign raised £30,000 ( figure from Epilepsy Action). The success of this event is due to the celebrity's and artists who contribute and also to the involvement of the hundreds of independent artists and illustrators who create artwork for the auction each year.
