Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
The theme for this month is “Partners in Care: Through Diagnosis. Through Treatment. Together.”
The prostate is a small, walnut-sized gland in the male reproductive system that produces fluid for semen and helps regulate urine flow.
Prostate Cancer affects the prostate gland and is most common in men over the age of 50, have certain genes, have a history of prostate cancer in their family or are from a Black African or African Caribbean background. (NHS).
This campaign is to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer by education, screening initiatives, support, advocacy, fundraising and research. You can get involved by attending or hosting events to talk about Prostate Cancer. If you have been affected by Prostate Cancer and feel able to talk about your experience. Support local charities and organisations that support those with Prostate Cancer.
