Walk Together for Bowel Cancer 5th- 16th June

Walk Together is Bowel Cancer UK’s annual flagship fundraising event, inviting people from all walks of life to unite for a common cause—to help stop bowel cancer. This five-mile walk brings together families, friends, and supporters to raise funds, show solidarity, and remember those affected by the disease. Whether walking in memory of a loved one or supporting someone currently undergoing treatment, participants make a vital contribution toward life-saving research and services.

Every 15 minutes someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer, that’s nearly 43,000 people every year, nearly 120 people every day. (bowelcanceruk.org.uk).

A study has found that brisk walks could cut the risk of death for colon cancer patients by more than a third.
